Anti-Sanctions
Arbitration Protocol
The ASAP is aimed at assisting the parties to reinforce an access to justice by choosing in a transparent manner neutral to sanctions: arbitration rules, appointing authority, place of arbitration, place of hearing, arbitrators, currency of payment, applicable law.
reinforcing access to justice in the era of economic sanctions
Current system of international arbitration failed to assist the parties affected by sanctions to efficiently resolve their disputes due to:
  • Need for arbitral institutions, arbitrators, counsels and experts to obtain licenses;
  • Banks’ refusals to process the arbitration fees and expenses;
  • Travel and visa limitations;
  • Lack of neutrality of courts at the place of arbitration.
